Double Time Entertainment was started in 2005 by two young brothers with a passion for entertaining and music. Using nothing but a house stereo rigged to an old laptop computer, they performed their first event for a close friend’s birthday party. Since then lead DJ Technicians and owners, Douglas Thayer and younger Brother, James MacDonald have expanded their entertainment horizons becoming one of the lead personalized entertainment experiences in the Ventura County area. Since their start, they have participated in community charity events across Ventura County, such as The Simi Valley Wag n’ Walk. The large event was geared towards finding homes for shelter dogs with injuries and disabilities! Double Time Ent. Became the primary Entertainment in 2010, for the Channel Islands Social Services office, hosting events to raise awareness of autism in children. This publicity, carried The small LLC to gain its first sponsorship in 2010 with a local entertainment supply store. Soon after, the tenacious duo set out to gain further experience in their field, and decided to host a summer college event at a Ventura County Club in Simi Valley. The event, named “HEAT” carried through the summer of 2011 and added a new skill to Double-Time Entertainment’s resume. Having established a remarkable flyer designing ability, Douglas Thayer was asked by other local business looking to gain more publicity, to design flyers in order to boost numbers. This new talent proved even more fun when the two released their very first T-shirt line in 2011! The Young Entrepreneurs, have since then been featured in events for such celebs like Rob Dyrdek for International Skateboard Day, and have landed corporate contracts with the Home Depot Co. and continue to have a passion and drive for music and Entertainment. They look forward to providing the ultimate experience for your next event!
